Goals are obscure thoughts until they are identified and written down. Then they have the possibility of being achieved. Simply adding more to what you think you can do may in fact make the goal unachievable. Adding 10% is just a number pulled out of the air, especially if you were 50% short of your goal last year. And setting your goals based on what others are doing is more than foolish, it is stupid. The power of goals comes from identification, clarification, and visualization.
